Your brand, on the move — everywhere your audience already drives.

Out-of-home advertising you can actually measure.

Wayside Ads turns the trucks already rolling down America's highways into mobile billboards — every route GPS-verified, every impression modeled from real road traffic instead of guesswork. Traditional OOH gives you an estimate. We give you delivery you can audit.

Why Wayside Ads

Billboards can't tell you what they delivered. Ours can.

Every truck streams its real route. We meter exposure against road traffic and population density, dedupe reach from frequency, and bill only modeled, billable impressions you can audit — the accountability of digital, in the physical world.

GPS-verified delivery

Impressions are metered from each truck's actual GPS trail — not a static "estimated daily views" number on a media kit.

Reach & frequency, deduped

We separate how many unique people saw your brand from how many times — so you never pay twice for the same eyeballs.

Pay for what was delivered

Billing is tied to billable impressions, calibrated to what a billboard on that same stretch of road would earn.

Auditable, end to end

Every campaign ships with a proof-of-performance report — GPS-verified routes, modeled impressions, and the methodology behind them — that you can open, check, and share.

The difference

Not all truck impressions are counted the same way

Most truck media quotes you a big daily-views number and a CPM under a dollar. Those numbers are estimated — everyone who might have driven past the truck, counted as a view. Wayside counts differently.

Traditional truck media
Wayside
Impressions estimated from a route
Impressions metered from each truck's real GPS trail
Self-reported daily view counts
Reach and frequency deduped, modeled against road traffic (AADT)
Sub-$1 CPMs on inflated counts
An honest CPM on impressions you can audit
You trust the number
You verify the number

How it works

Highway billboards that come to your audience

See the full method
STEP 1

Activate the fleet

Fleet owners list their trailers; we handle creative production and installation end to end.

STEP 2

Drive real routes

Trucks run their normal routes through cities and along interstates, streaming GPS the whole way.

STEP 3

Measure & bill

We meter exposure into modeled OOH impressions and bill advertisers on what was delivered.

Measurement

A higher CPM that costs you less

You'll see truck-media CPMs advertised below a dollar. They're built on estimated daily views — every car that might have passed, counted as an impression. We don't count that way.

Wayside meters exposure from each truck's real GPS trail, models it against the measured traffic on that same stretch of road (AADT), and dedupes reach from frequency. The result is an auditable, billable impression count — and a CPM around $3 where you can see exactly which roads, which traffic, and which methodology produced every impression you pay for.

Pay $0.50 for impressions that didn't happen and you've overpaid. Pay $3 for impressions you can audit and you know exactly what you bought.

How we measure it
The Wayside platform's live campaign coverage map, coloring each route segment by measured road traffic (AADT)

Worked example — illustrative month, one trailer

The $0.50 CPM that's really $5

What the flat-rate vendor bills

“50,000 daily views” × 30 days = 1.5M impressions, invoiced at $0.50 CPM.

$750

The same invoice whether the truck drove or not.

What the truck actually did

9 days parked at the depot. Most miles run overnight on near-empty highway. Modeled against the real traffic on those roads: ~150,000 impressions delivered.

$5.00 effective CPM

$750 ÷ 150k real impressions — 10× the sticker price, and invisible, because nothing was measured.

The same month on Wayside

Depot days bill nothing. Empty-road miles bill next to nothing. You pay for the ~150,000 modeled impressions that happened — with the routes and traffic data to audit them.

$450

150k × $3 CPM — less money, for impressions you can check.

The flat “daily views” number never changes; the driving does. When exposure is estimated instead of metered, every parked day and every empty overnight mile gets billed as if it were rush hour.
