Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about measurable out-of-home advertising on trucks.

Is truck advertising actually measurable?

Yes — that is the core of Wayside Ads. Every truck streams GPS, and we meter exposure against road traffic and population density to produce verified, billable impressions. Unlike a traditional billboard's "estimated daily views," you get an auditable count of what was delivered.

How is an impression counted?

We map-match each mile of a truck's route to the road it was driven on, pull that road's traffic volume (AADT) and the surrounding Census density, then model gross impressions per segment. Reach and frequency are deduplicated per audience cell, and a frequency cap resolves the final billable impression count.

What does it cost advertisers?

Pricing is a state-tiered CPM (cost per 1,000 impressions) starting at $3, applied by the state each impression is delivered in. Wrap production and a one-time install are quoted per vehicle at booking. You only pay for delivered, billable impressions.

How long are campaigns?

Campaigns run as 3- or 6-month flights with a clear start and end date — no open-ended roadside leases.

How much can fleet owners earn?

Fleet owners keep up to 70% of the media revenue their trucks carry, paid on verified GPS mileage. Trucks running dense interstate corridors and metros earn the most. The wrap and install are free to the fleet.

Does the wrap damage my trucks or change my routes?

No. We use professional vinyl wraps or mounted reusable banners, installed and removed cleanly, and you keep running your normal routes. Drivers do nothing different — the trailer simply earns while it works.

Which markets do you cover?

Wayside Ads operates across the United States. Because inventory is mobile, advertisers can target whole corridors, metros, and states rather than a single fixed location.

Can fleet owners control which ads run on their trucks?

Yes. Fleet owners choose which trucks are listed, set wrapper preferences, and can block industries they don't want on their equipment.
